Karachi. The legislator belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) from the electoral constituency New Karachi, Abdul Waseem said that the legislators from MQM have been spending their allotted funds for the development works in the city so as to bring improvement in people’s lives and raise the standard of civic facilities and infrastructure.
He was speaking to the representatives of print and electronic media on the occasion of his visit to the ongoing development projects being carried out with the funds allotted to the legislators.
New Karachi Town Municipal Administration (TMA) Chief Officer Afaq Saeed, Deputy Town Officer for Information Alamgir Saifi and other TMA officials had accompanied him.
Waseem reiterated his firm resolve that the process of development would not be allowed to be hampered under any pretext especially the paucity of funds because the elected representatives from MQM would continue their efforts for the provision of standard civic facilities to the peoples of their respective constituencies.
He assured the TMA New Karachi of continued support regarding development works in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Saeed appreciated MQM legislator Waseem for his untiring support and said that the development projects that have so far been completed and those that were being completed and in pipe line were all made possible with the support of the legislators of MQM.
It is pertinent to mention that Waseem had put his special development funds worth Rs20 million for the construction and improvement of roads in New Karachi especially in 5-G, 5-F and 5-D areas. It is expected that the traffic flow would improve after the ongoing work on roads would be finished.
